Alex is a GrandPrix Dressage rider and List 3A Dressage Judge based in Somerset, where he runs Collective Equestrian with his Fiancé Jonny.
Alex's first steps into the "Horsey" world weren't until, what would normally be considered relatively late into the game, when a school friend dragged him down to the local riding school ..... and the rest is history!
After spending time at a backing and breaking yard, which also took in difficult and problem horses for re-training, Alex bit the bullet and decided to move to Gloucester in order to pursue his love of Dressage.
In 2015, when it became time to spread his wings and fly, Alex started Collective Equestrian with his Fiancé Jonny. Nestled in the heart of Somerset, Collective Equestrian is a training and livery yard catering to riders of all levels from Novice to GrandPrix.
Having a base of his own has allowed Alex to go from strength to strength, grabbing himself a team spot for the 2018 Young Rider European Championships, on the then 7 year old DIAMOND HILL. Along with his European team spot Alex has picked up multiple International wins at YoungRider and U25 GrandPrix on both RUBEN IV and DIAMOND HILL.
At the end of 2019 Alex stated to put his entrepreneurial brain to work after feeling frustrated that, besides correct training, there was nothing else he could do to help his horses recover as optimally as possible after training, yet there is so much out there for human athletes!
"I started Centauras because I believe our horses really are athletes! They deserve the best possible treatments and latest technology available, to help them perform at their best comfortably. We, as riders and owners, owe that to them"
Since starting Centauras Alex has concentrated on surrounding himself with a great team that enables him to carry on training and competing, most recently being selected to ride at the 2020 National GrandPrix Championships, yet still look after the companies interests and create innovative new solutions with the help of like-minded professionals.
